The Netherlands

Do you think of tulips and windmills when you hear the word Netherlands? You're probably not alone. The Netherlands is a flat low country full of canals and great for scenic drives and bike riding. Here is an interesting fact. The Netherlands is often incorrectly referred to as Holland. Reason being there are twelve provinces that actually make up the Netherlands. Only two of those provinces, Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland together are rightly called Holland.
